Ugwueme celebrate diverse kinds of festivALS
Though the people of Ugwueme are predominantly Christians, there are still Traditional Worshipers who hold tenaciously to the customs and traditions as handed over to them by their Ancestors. They usually organise New Yam Festival popularly refer to as Egbeajala. This festivity, which features all kinds of masqurades, lasts for about 7 days with the last day called Akuruala. The Christians celebrate Christmas and Easter. Annually, the Ugwueme Believers Union organizes crusade/revival meetings for the inhabitants of Ugwueme. Well organized football tournament among different registered clubs make Christmas and New Year very remarkable.

AVURUAGU
This is the period when every child will visit his/her maternal home (Ibenne) and will be received with coconuts. It usually happen in the month of March.

EGBEAJALA
This is the season when Ugwueme people celebrate their New yam festival. I usually happen in the month of July.

CHRISTMAS & EASTER
A period marked with the celebration of the birth of Christ. The traditional worshippers also celebrate Nneoche (goddess).

ICHUNTA
This is known as the month of hunting till end of February when the hunting expedition ends and celebrated
