Our Mission
Ugwueme Website is an independent initiative/project of five progressive Ndi Ugwueme coordinated by Dr. Sunday Okafor. This initiative was born out of love and passion for the great city on the Hills. Beyond the website, this team will be positioning Ugwueme for global relevance and development through the creation of an Ugwueme Wikipedia and updating Google Maps to reflect various strategic landmarks in Ugwueme.
It has been very difficult having reasonable information about Ugwueme online. This website, which is completely void of any political, religious and clan affiliations, soley aims to make Ugwueme, its rich cultures and its great people very visible and relevant globally. The site will promote the rich and good cultures of Ndi Ugwueme, which include but not limited to history, language (akpaala Ugwueme), festivities, traditions, hospitatlity and religion.
Here on this site, you will learn more about Ugwueme’s geography, community development updates, tourist centers, business of our people, relevant political updates and good governance, registered Clubs and Associtions, blogs where our people will advertise their goods and services. It will also feature a Hall of Fame. (You will get to know some of our people who have contributed to the socio-economic development of Ugwueme, community services, human capital development of her citizens and
philanthropic adventures). The gallery will equally feed your eyes with wonderful pictures and videos.
The website is dedicated to the overall development of Ugwueme using the instrumentallity of
Information Technology (IT).
